Former MasterChef star Julie Goodwin left fans surprised this week after she was seen looking ‘unrecognisable’. Fans of the chef and media personality said she looked “amazing”, but also agreed she looked “so different”.
In a new video for Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival, Julie is seen inviting other “food fans” to join her at the festival, where she will be showing off her cooking skills at The Kitchen Stage. She told viewers, “I’ll be taking to the stage to share my passion for simple, soulful food that gets you and your family and friends around the table together.”
She added, “I can’t wait to meet you and chat with you, do some demonstrations, share some tips and have a great time.”

Julie’s fans were surprised to see her looking different in the video, with one person writing, “When you said Julie Goodwin my eyes went 😳.”
“Omg! Julie! I barely recognised you!” another said. “Loved you when I first saw you on MasterChef and love you now! All the best for demos.”
“Oh my goodness, I hardly recognised her,” a third added.
“Julie you look great,” someone else said. “It’s been a while since we’ve seen you online!”
“I can’t believe it’s Julie,” one fan added.
“OMG Julie I didn’t recognise you,” yet another said. “You look amazing.”
“OMG you look so different,” someone wrote.
Many also asked for the “secret” to her new look, but Julie didn’t respond.

It comes after Julie, who won the first ever season of MasterChef, appeared to jump ship from Channel 10 to Channel 7.
Last year, she made an appearance on My Kitchen Rules alongside Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge as a guest judge during the grand finale.
She has also been seen on Sunrise and Dancing With the Stars, where she was sadly eliminated after injuring her calf.
Speaking to New Idea, Julie shed light on the situation, revealing something fans wouldn’t have known from watching the show.
“The recovery was slightly different in real life than it is in TV Land,” she said. “In TV Land it was two weeks from the injury to the first dance, and two weeks from the first dance to the second dance. In real life, it was six days after I was injured that I danced and then three days after that I had to dance again. The injury was still very fresh.”
“It wasn’t ideal to be dancing on that kind of injury, It had a massive impact on our ability to train. So it was such a shame. But that’s the sort of thing that happens on a show where you’re pushing yourself physically in ways that you’re not used to, and I was really keen to see it through.”
However, she reveals that she is now able to walk around “as usual”.
