The LA Lakers legend was inquired by podcast co-host Adam Lefkoe about James’ dominance, with O’Neal saying that playing in a less physical league has helped James.

Right at the beginning of Tuesday’s episode of his “The Big Podcast,” O’Neal offered his two cents on James’ continued success that has transcended two decades and doesn’t seem to be fading anytime soon.

Despite being injured with a groin issue that kept him sidelined him since March 8, LeBron James’ longevity is still remarkable.

“It’s less physical and he’s always done this [run around] his whole career, he’s never really done that [throw elbows],” O’Neal said.

“The fact that it’s less physical definitely helps him. But he’s always taken care of his body, he’s always played at a certain level and you asked what are you doing it for.”

LeBron James’ career has been an anomaly not only for NBA players but professional athletes. He’s played at a high level since the beginning of his career and hasn’t slowed down despite being 40 and having 22 seasons under his belt.

The Los Angeles Lakers are still hopeful they can win it all with James and Luka Doncic leading the way. But first, the forward must heal from the groin injury to return to the court.

James is averaging 25.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game, shooting 51.7% from the field, 38.4% from deep and 77% from the free-throw line.
