Kyle Sandilands has made a heartbreaking admission about the current state of his health, following his shock brain aneurysm diagnosis in February.
The radio shock jock, 54, shared during KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show on Wednesday that his physical activities are now limited due to his 138kg weight, which is 12kg more than what he weighed last year.
‘I’m 138, I thought I was massive. I’ve been a bit… I don’t know whether “depressed” is the word? Ever since this aneurysm thing came up a year ago,’ Kyle told listeners.
‘I brushed it off inside. My wife is on me about it, asking if I would like to come for a walk with her and [their son] Otto. I would like to, but just too fat and lazy to go!’
Despite his health scare, Kyle admitted he continues to indulge in junk food.

‘I also use an opportunity to eat a packet of chicken and biscuits! I know I’m doing myself in,’ he said.
Kyle also mentioned a recent hospital visit for a check-up, noting he would consider forming a support group with others struggling with weight issues.
‘I did all these scans yesterday, haven’t got the results yet. If I’m good, then I will put together a club, “Kyle’s Big Fatso Club”, where I want others to join me in my slow march to healthiness. Who is with me?’ he said.
In April 2024, Kyle revealed his body weight live on air.
The radio king and co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson were discussing Body Mass Index (BMI), a measure of body fat based on height and weight.
‘I weigh 126kg of meat,’ he proudly proclaimed.
A producer on The Kyle and Jackie ‘O’ Show then disclosed the ‘healthy’ BMI for a man of his height.
‘For a 6ft1 man, you should weigh somewhere between 75 to 91kg,’ she said.

Despite the shock revelation, Kyle said he has no plans to start exercising.
‘Then you’ve got to go to the gym and ugh, it’s too much. No one gives a s**t about all that. No one,’ he exclaimed.
‘Well actually that’s not true, most people do,’ he added.
In February, the media personality revealed to listeners he had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
Fans of the radio star have expressed their support and well wishes since his admission.
‘On Friday, I was told by my medical team – which sounds like I’m already very sick, that I have a brain aneurysm. It requires immediate attention, brain surgery,’ he said at the time.
‘My doctor said if I didn’t get it checked, I would have died. A life of cocaine abuse and partying are not the way to go!’
He revealed his doctor had banned him from doing cocaine, masturbating, heavy lifting and becoming stressed.
What is a brain aneurysm?
‘A brain aneurysm — also known as a cerebral aneurysm or intracranial aneurysm — is a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain. An aneurysm often looks like a berry hanging on a stem.
Experts think brain aneurysms form and grow because blood flowing through the blood vessel puts pressure on a weak area of the vessel wall. This can increase the size of the brain aneurysm. If the brain aneurysm leaks or ruptures, it causes bleeding in the brain, known as a hemorrhagic stroke.
Most often, a ruptured brain aneurysm occurs in the space between the brain and the thin tissues covering the brain. This type of hemorrhagic stroke is called a subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Brain aneurysms are common. But most brain aneurysms aren’t serious, especially if they’re small. Most brain aneurysms don’t rupture. They usually don’t cause symptoms or cause health problems. In many cases, brain aneurysms are found during tests for other conditions.
However, a ruptured aneurysm quickly becomes life-threatening and requires medical treatment right away.
If a brain aneurysm hasn’t ruptured, treatment may be appropriate in some cases. Treatment of an unruptured brain aneurysm may prevent a rupture in the future.’
