She just can’t stay away! Two months after she retired from daytime television, Hoda Kotb paid a surprise visit to the Today studios, where she crashed the crew’s morning meeting.

The official Today With Jenna & Friends Instagram shared a video of Kotb surprising Jenna Bush Hager, guest host Dwayne Wade and their producers.

“We had the best surprise in our briefing meeting this morning!! @hodakotb dropped in to show her love and support for @jennabhager and @dwyanewade,” they wrote alongside the video.

The video shows Kotb hugging their executive producer Talia Parkinson-Jones as Bush Hager yells, “What is happening?!”

As she gets up from her seat to hug her good friend and former co-host of five years, Bush Hager continues, “What is happening?! I FaceTimed you today!”

“I know, I had to come in for a second,” Kotb replies before turning to Wade, who is guest hosting Today With Jenna & Friends this week.

“You’re crushing it!” she then tells the NBA star. “You’re so good!”

Kotb famously left Today in January after 27 years at NBC. Her retirement was celebrated with a massive “Hoda-bration,” complete with an audience and several celebrity guests who hoped to send her off.

While Craig Melvin has replaced her at Savannah Guthrie‘s side in the earlier hours of Today, NBC has not been rushing to find a permanent co-host to join Bush Hager. Instead, Bush Hager has been had a rotating panel of celebrity guests co-hosting the show with her, including Scarlett Johansson, Heather McMahan, Regina Hall, Taraji P. Henson and more.

And reports claim they are no closer to finding a permanent host to fill Kotb’s spot, even two months later. A inside source told The Daily Mail, “There is no reason to make a decision now. There’s been a lot of people vying for the opportunity to guest co-host.”

Even Kotb has expressed interest in returning to the show to guest host temporarily, though a set date has not yet been announced. But she is expected to stay on at NBC in a correspondent role.
