It’s safe to say that “Australian wildlife photographer, conservationist, TV presenter, actor and zookeeper” Robert Irwin ended the premiere of Dancing With the Stars season 34 with a bang, closing out the show with a jive that not only left him and his partner — the wonderful Witney Carson — tied at the top of the leaderboard, but also left his family in absolute awe.

For those who are unfamiliar, the 21-year-old is the son of the iconic “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, as well as the son of Terri Irwin and the brother of Bindi Irwin. The latter actually won Dancing With the Stars season 21 back in 2015, where she was partnered with now-judge Derek Hough. Talk about a small world!

Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that the Aussie took on some of his sister’s dancing skills during the DWTS season 34 premiere tonight (September 16), earning an impressive score of 15 out of 20 — consisting of an eight from Derek Hough and a seven from Bruno Tonioli — during his show-stopping performance to “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf.

Filled with tricks and tons of wildlife flair, it’s safe to say that fans were obsessed with the routine, but nobody loved it as much as his family. Despite showing their support in the crowd tonight, Terri and Bindi also took to Instagram to express just how proud they are of their son and brother (respectively).

After finishing his jive, the official DWTS Instagram account shared some photos from Irwin and Carson’s stellar performance. “Robert & Witney looked so natural on the dance floor during their WILD Jive! 🔥 Incredible way to close out the #DWTS Premiere 👏,” the beloved reality television series captioned the post, but the comments are what truly made our hearts flutter.

Irwin’s mother commented, “I am so proud,” while his sister commented, “CRIKEY!!!!!!!!.” How sweet is that?
