Jenna Bush Hager received a major surprise before co-hosting the Today Show with basketball legend Dwyane Wade Wednesday.

The on-air personality has seen various celebrity guests on ‘Today With Jenna & Friends’ since the beginning of the year. Hoda Kotb, her former co-host, announced her retirement last year so she could spend more time with her daughters.

Hager hosted two shows with Wade this week, and fans were quick to notice the chemistry between the duo. It’s unclear who will be chosen as a permanent co-host alongside Hager, but it’s clear that viewer have missed seeing Hoda on their screens.

Fans who follow the hosts on social media can still see her on their small screens. Kotb surprised Hager in her dressing room before Wednesday’s show, wishing her luck.

‘Today With Jenna & Friends’ posted the sweet video on Instagram. The hosts were clearly happy to be reunited, hugging in the makeup room.

The caption on the video read: “We had the best surprise in our briefing meeting this morning!! @hodakotb dropped in to show her love and support for @jennabhager and @dwyanewade #JennaandFriends.”

In the comments, people shared their desire for Kotb to come back on the show.
