A new scene unfolded between Xhekaj and Pezzetta in a surprising turn of events following their highly publicized heated altercation. Just days after the intense confrontation, the two were seen engaging in a calm, post-game conversation in the tunnel leading to the locker rooms.

Eyewitnesses described the interaction as “civil” and “conciliatory,” with both players appearing to put their differences aside, at least momentarily. Xhekaj was observed extending his hand, which Pezzetta accepted, symbolizing a potential truce. The brief exchange, lasting approximately two minutes, included nods of understanding and what appeared to be a shared laugh, astonishing onlookers given the recent animosity.

While the exact nature of their discussion remains private, sources close to the teams suggest a mutual desire to move past the incident, focusing instead on the upcoming playoff push. This unexpected detente has left fans and pundits alike wondering if the feud is truly behind them.

We witnessed a peculiar scene this morning during the Montreal Canadiens’ practice, involving Arber Xhekaj and Michael Pezzetta.

The two players lost their patience, and things got heated.

That said, as we mentioned in the article above, we suspected that the tension between Xhekaj and Pezzetta wouldn’t last long, and indeed, it didn’t.

A few drills later, once the dust settled and the intensity calmed down, we witnessed another viral moment involving the two tough Canadiens players. But this time, it was a much more positive scene.

Check out the heartwarming footage.

We love to see it, of course!

The intensity is clearly at its peak right now for the Montreal Canadiens, and the players are ready for a tough and competitive game against the Ottawa Senators.

Props to Pezzetta for going to “apologize” to Xhekaj after their little clash, even though it seems like the Sheriff was the one who started it all.

“Important to clarify that the situation started during the previous rotation.

Xhekaj gave Pezzetta a slash, which he didn’t appreciate.. Pezz came back to get revenge in the next rotation.

The two then talked, and Pezz smiled and gave Arber a hug.”

Xhekaj even made a funny comment about the heated exchange to the media after practice:

“I didn’t like his mustache this morning! No, seriously, these are intense practices. It’s all in good fun and part of the game..

We’ll probably go out for dinner together tonight!”
