Hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft had a special announcement to make on The Block 2025, but not before checking in on the teams.
Alarm bells rang as the duo completed their first walkaround of the season. With three days until bathroom reveal, they clocked one team were looking very “behind”.
Heading over to House 2, Scotty prepared Shelley for “manic panic duo” Han and Can.
It’s a nickname he gave out of love, of course (you’ll soon see why).
Handy Han was on the tools bringing to life their “wellness sanctuary” bathroom complete with a curved wall and secret entrance.
That is, until a concerned Scotty jumped in.
“Sorry to interrupt but are you tiling the ceiling?” he asked with a worried look on his face. “You know it’s Friday…”
The girls reassured Scotty they’d be on track to start the fit-out.
“Get tiling!” he hurried them.
Out of Han and Can’s earshot, Scotty was even more alarmed:
Scotty confessed that House 2 were looking “way behind”.
With only one tiler, Scotty worried it was “going to be tough going to finish”.
But spirits were soon lifted as Scotty and Shelley had an exciting Block-first announcement to make.
With an unanimous decision by the teams themselves, Han earned the title of this week’s hardest worker.
The brand new Block title meant she was also rewarded five plants of her choice, thanks to Bunnings.
But there was a catch… a height limit that meant plants could not be higher than The Block’s human measuring stick, Shelley Craft.
“I’m the hardest worker of the week, I’m absolutely stoked,” smiled Han.
“Plants aren’t cheap, we’ve got a lot of ground to cover. But I didn’t expect that, a nice little treat for a Friday.”
The walkarounds continue
Over to House 4 and Scotty and Shelley’s visit gave Alicia “sweaty pits” (again with the ‘pits! We’re sure she had nothing to be worried about).
Meanwhile at House 3, Shelley showered Britt and Taz with reassuring compliments.
After years of watching Shelley on screen, Britt and Taz said they can “usually tell” if Shelley doesn’t actually like what she sees.
