Fans of This Morning may have spotted that Big Brother champion Josie Gibson doesn’t feature on the ITV programme as frequently as she once did – and now the broadcaster has addressed her reduced presence in the presenting roster.
The 40-year-old has been a consistent segment host on the daytime show, which recently saw one presenter make an exciting announcement, since her first appearance in 2019.
Whilst Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley front most episodes, with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary covering Fridays, Josie has appeared on the This Morning sofa from time to time for holiday relief.
She fronted the programme alongside Rylan Clark in August whilst the usual presenters enjoyed a break.

Speaking on the red carpet at last night’s Pride of Britain Awards, the television personality explained that she’s been occupied with alternative ventures.
“Well actually I haven’t really stepped away [from This Morning], I have been doing a lot of other projects,” she told The Daily Mail.
“I’ve been filming a renovation show and I’m so blessed and lucky and I’m not going to lie it’s been stressful.”

She mentioned that shooting her upcoming DIY programme has proved challenging.
Josie added: “I’ve hit a lot of hurdles but it’s how you get back up, I’m not a good jumper at times but I get back up and keep trying.”
Despite her absence from some episodes of This Morning, she described the presenters and crew as “like a family”.
She further added: “When you get there, it is lovely to see everybody and we’ve done a lot of stuff together and we’ve grown together. They are just like a real good family.”

The Pride of Britain Awards on Monday night night saw a host of stars descend on London’s Grosvenor House Hotel to honour the country’s unsung heroes.
Celebrities including I’m A Celebrity’s GK Barry, Strictly’s Amy Dowden, Freddie Brazier and EastEnders’ Colin Salmon donned their best attire for an uplifting evening.
The event, hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, celebrated numerous remarkable individuals with awards – among them was cancer survivor Georgie Hyslop, who received her award from Hollywood actress Margot Robbie.
“I’ve heard all about the fundraising you’ve been doing, everything you’ve been through, it has been hugely inspiring for me,” Margot Robbie, known for her role as Barbie, told her.
Georgie had raised over £55,000 for others before being awarded the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser at the Pride of Britain Awards. Overwhelmed by meeting her idol, Georgie expressed: “I can’t even imagine that that’s happened to me.”
