I think we can all agree that this season of Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) has already had a heap of twists and turns. Despite the season having only kicked off a month ago, two out of four farmers have already found love. So, in what seems like an effort to make the season go on longer, the big dogs behind the scenes hatched a plan and decided to bring in a brand new farmer.

Last week, Channel Seven announced that Farmer Jack — a dairy farmer from Sheffield, Tassie — would be joining the remaining farmers yet to find love, Corey and Thomas.

While you’d think FWAW fans would be craving more of the country-based reality show, they don’t seem too jazzed by the new bloke.

“Why bring another in when the other ones just about finished. Get real,” commented one fan on social media.

“This show has slowly been going down the toilet,” wrote another. “Won’t be watching any more unless they go back to the original format and have farmers that are actually old enough/mature enough emotionally to actually be looking to settle down with The One.”

“I guess with the farmer leaving early it threw production out, so they have to fill in the extra week, this will be a wham bam thank you man, couple of episodes he will be getting rid of them left right and centre,” reasoned another commenter.

The 26-year-old farmer will begin his hopeful journey towards finding love with a gal in a floral dress (probably) on Monday night’s FWAW episode alongside eight gorgeous new gals.

“Obviously, the number one thing [I was looking for] was someone who would be willing to come here and live with me on the farm, because I don’t have that option of moving – this is where I’m going to stay for the long term,” Jack told TV WEEK.

“As a dairy farmer, you’re tied down to the farm. And I know all farmers are tied down, but I think especially for dairy farmers, I milk every morning, and that’s just the way it is. There’s really no getting away from it. So it’s a full-on sort of a job but to be honest, I really don’t think of it as a job; it’s a lifestyle. And I do it because I love it.”

Before the FWAW season kicked off and applications for single gals opened up, eagle-eyed fans noticed that there were a couple of farmers who didn’t make the cut for the final edit of the show.

While farmer Jack (above) was one of them, there was also another farmer Jack from Oberon, NSW, and farmer Reidy from Moreeba, Queensland.

According to inside sources, both Farmer Jack (Oberon edition) and Reidy were kicked off the show for participating in some alleged root rat behaviour that didn’t really vibe with the show’s wholesome image.

Ooooft!
