The great Alex Ovechkin scored two goals, his 893rd and 894th career goals in the National Hockey League, tying Wayne Gretzky’s all-time record for the most goals scored in a career.

But that’s not all.
With the Capitals leading by one goal (4-3) and the Blackhawks pulling their goalie for a sixth attacker, Washington’s head coach offered his number 8 the chance to jump on the ice.
