We can’t keep up!
First, it was Jacqui and Clint, then it was Eliot and Jamie. Now, fans think we have another couple swap on our hands after rumours emerged that Awhina and Billy could be dating.
The former Married at First Sight contestants have been the subject of relationship speculations after the two Perth-based reality stars continued to make public appearances following the season finale.

On April 27, an Instagram post sparked interest as Awhina, who was matched with Adrian during the season, and Billy, who was paired with Sierah, posed for photos together, but now Awhina is setting the record straight.
“Look, Billy and I are just friends! We’re very close. I kind of wanted this chapter closed before I start dating again,” she confirmed to 9Entertainment.
“I’ve been on the experiment to find a partner, which is really still my goal. I want to grow my family. I [just don’t] want to start anything off on the wrong foot,” she added.
Awhina’s admission comes after the pair were photographed on a ‘double-date in mid-March alongside co-stars Rhi and Jeff. The month prior, they were photographed holding hands as they celebrated Valentine’s Day together.
The Married at First Sight bride’s recent comments aren’t the first she’s made to confirm the platonic friendship. Earlier this year, she spoke to Daily Mail Australia, telling the publication that they shared a “purely platonic friendship,” after Billy attended her birthday.
“Billy’s a WA guy. We have built a friendship. He happened to be at my birthday, but it is a purely platonic friendship,” she explained.

Despite ending the reality show single, Awhina spoke to WHO about her experience on MAFS following the dramatic reunion episodes.
While she is close to Jamie, there was one other contestant she made a life-long bond with: fellow bride Jamie.
“I think everyone knows I didn’t leave with a husband,” Awhina reflected. “But I definitely left with a wife.”
