There’s only two couples remaining from series 12
We say it every time but Married At First Sight Australia truly is the wildest reality show on TV.

The MAFS 2025 cast have given the previous series a run for their money – from grooms quitting within the first few days and cast members dating before the show to ‘bullying’ claims, we’ve been entertained from day one.
One thing that hasn’t surprised us though is how dysfunctional most of the couples are. We said goodbye to TWO couples within the first week and then lots more decided to quit the experiment.
So we’ve had a look at all the MAFS Australia 2025 couples and where they are now…
Ashleigh and Jake – split

From the moment the photo ranking challenge began we knew it was about to go downhill and we were right. While chatting about the brides Jake claimed Jacqui had ‘crazy eyes’, he said Sierah had an ‘intimidating look’ before going on to say, ‘Her face screams I could stab you in your sleep’.
However it was his comment about Awhina that let his wife Ashleigh floored, ‘Not to sound racist of nothing but I do like Caucasian people mainly’.
After Ashleigh opened up to fellow bride Sierah about the challenge and then revealed all during the commitment ceremony, Jake quit the experiment at the end of week one.
Billy and Sierah – split

We had hope for these two but when it came to light that Sierah wouldn’t tell hubby Billy about her mysterious secret but had told groom Adrian off camera, it all fell apart. Then it came to light that Sierah, Adrian and Tony went for dinner together and it was the final straw for Billy who voted ‘leave’ at the third commitment ceremony. Sierah voted leave too but after Billy advised her to be more open in her next relationship, she backtracked and wanted to stay – it was all very bizarre tbh.
Eliot and Lauren – split

Let’s be honest, these two were doomed from the start. During the stag do, Eliot admitted if he didn’t feel an instant spark at the aisle he’d quit the experiment. Shortly after walking down the aisle, he complained to producers about Lauren having some characteristics from his non negotiable list and it wasn’t long (about 72 hours) before he left his honeymoon and quit the experiment. That was the end of Eliot and Lauren’s marriage but not their MAFS journey… More on that in a bit.
Katie and Tim – split

Oh Katie. She’s probably the sweetest MAFS contestant we’ve ever met and she had a rough go of things from the beginning. Despite insisting he’s the ‘nice guy’ who ‘doesn’t have a type’, Tim quickly changed his tune and told producers, ‘What the f–k? It’s just totally not what I wanted. Not good.’
After an awful honeymoon and Tim gaslighting Katie at the dinner table (even John the expert called him out on it), they both decided to quit the experiment.
Morena and Tony – split

These two appeared to get off to a great start with their Big Fat MAFS Wedding but after a few arguments throughout the experiment and Tony’s bombshell revelation that he wants kids, they decided to call it quits during the fourth commitment ceremony.
Adrian and Awhina – split after the show

Surprise, surprise Adrian and Awhina are no longer together. Throughout the experiment we’ve seen them row, move out and even their friends and family came to blows at one point. Despite vowing to stay together during their final vows, they call it quits shortly after the experiment.
Beth and Teejay – split

They were one of the intruder couples and we had high hopes for Beth and Teejay but things started falling apart and after the seventh commitment ceremony – Teejay voted ‘leave’ but Beth voted ‘stay’. Days before their final vows, they both decided to quit the experiment.
Dave and Jamie – split after the show

Devastated we tell you, absolutely devastated when we discovered that Dave and Jamie are no longer together. Despite agreeing to stay together during their final vows, it was shortly after the show ended that Jamie ended their relationship.
Carina and Paul – split

Carina and Paul seemed a match made in heaven, until it came to light that he punched a wall after discovering his wife had slept with a celebrity. Despite vowing to stay together during all the commitment ceremonies, it’s during their final that Carina voted ‘no’ while Paul voted ‘yes’.
Eliot and Veronica – split

We just knew these two weren’t going to make it as soon as he downplayed the end of his first marriage and Veronica sought advice from Lauren. Things took a bizarre turn when Eliot opened up about his sister having diabetes and going into a coma and Veronica’s response was ‘cute’. Despite making it through that challenge, they both decide to leave during the sixth ceremony.
Jacqui and Ryan – split

These two had a wild relationship from dropping Jacqui during their first dance and then graphically describing their sex lives with the lads, to causing a stir at Beth and Teejay’s wedding, it was pretty clear they wouldn’t work. During the seventh commitment ceremony Ryan voted ‘leave’ but due to the rules of the experiment, they both remain on the show. It was not until their final vows that they both decide to end their relationship.
Lauren and Clint – split

Lauren’s second chance at love started off much better than her first – she managed to make it through the honeymoon which is more than she could say with Eliot. Unfortunately it didn’t last long and after rowing with her co-stars, branding them ‘boganic’ and admitting she didn’t have a spark with Clint – they called it quits after their third commitment ceremony together.
Jeff and Rhi – still together

Rhi and Jeff are still together ©E4
You might be happy to hear that one couple managed to make it work outside the experiment – Jeff and Rhi. Granted they did know and date each other before the show but so did Carina and Paul and look at them… Anyway, Jeff and Rhi voted to ‘stay’ throughout the entire experiment and even at their final vows. They’re still loved up and living happily ever after.
Jacqui and Clint – recoupled and still together

In a shock plot twist, Jacqui recoupled with intruder groom Clint. Not only did they recouple, but as of April 2025 they’re engaged after Clint proposed at a MAFS screening party. Opening up about their relationship, Jacqui told Women’s Day, ‘We’re so happy. We got what we wanted. We went on the show for love and we found it!’
