It could be as soon as tonight, or it could be several days from now.
The last time Laine had to be absent due to flu-like symptoms, he missed nearly two weeks of activity.
That being said, following yesterday’s announcement regarding Laine, RDS journalist Luc Gélinas made an interesting statement.

I think he is right to question the real reason for Laine’s absence because it is quite unusual to see a player miss 15 DAYS, and possibly more, within a few weeks due to flu-like symptoms.
Let’s just hope it’s nothing too serious for Patrik Laine.
If he returns to play tonight, it would be great news and would put the matter to rest, but at this point, that seems unlikely.
