Former Notre Dame cornerback Benjamin Morrison was having a great start to the season last year before suffering a hip injury that ended his season before it really got going. But if you look at what he was doing, he was looking like one of the best corners in the country.

Appearing on NFL Network’s “The Insiders,” he is clearly not shy about his own talents and the difficulty that his injury has added to his pre-draft process.

Coming off his hip labrum repair, Morrison didn’t participate in the NFL Scouting Combine or Notre Dame’s Pro Day, but is preparing to workout for teams on Monday, April 21, just three days before the 2025 NFL Draft gets underway.

“I think in this process I kind of got a little forgotten about. That’s what this little pro day is for. It’s to show that I am who I say I am,” Morrison said.”I know what I can do. So I think I am one of the top corners, if not the top corner, of this draft.”

“I eliminate guys, number one receivers,” he continued. “I’ve gone against the best — Zay Flowers, Jordan Addison, Marvin Harrison — the list continues, and I think I held my own. I do well against high caliber receivers like that. So I think that’s just my game. We play a lot of man at Notre Dame. I can do it all, and I’m going to find the ball.”

Morrison is absolutely a candidate for the Bills, who need a solid number two cornerback to play opposite their recently-extended top dog Christian Benford. Corner is a position that will be in play late in the first round and into Day 2 of the draft, where Morrison regularly ends up in mock drafts.

If he truly is fully healthy and is able to demonstrate his athleticism and that he’s on track to be able to participate in training camp, Morrison’s value could certainly rise to that of a late first round pick.
