It was the biggest day in Block history, so what better time for Scotty and Shelley’s walkarounds!

The weekly catch-up gives hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft an opportunity to see how the teams are tracking and this week, they noticed some cracks in the competition’s most positive couple.

Emma and Ben were yet to win a room despite placing second many times, which has left them feeling pretty deflated.

“I know you’re happy [and] smiley all the time, but the fact you have been bridesmaids almost every week, what are you missing? What’s gone wrong to just get pipped at the post every time?” Shell asked.

“I wish I knew what was going wrong… we’d change it!” Emma replied.

Despite the couple putting on their trademark happy faces, Scotty and Shelley were suspicious.

“They’ve got budget issues, that’s the problem,” Scotty said as they left House 1.

“I think they’ve got a lot of issues they’re just smiling through. They’re obviously lovely people, there’s no killer instinct!” Shelley replied.

While the hosts were keen to get caught up on each teams’ rumpus room progress, they were also looking forward to seeing the completed Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa spaces later that morning.

Especially one of them: Han and Can’s already infamous room.

As the girls explained their “gaudy” design to Shell, she couldn’t help but laugh about how much it sounded like a “trainwreck”.

“You two should be in there taking down cirme notes from the crime scene,” Scotty joked to WA coppers Britt and Taz.

Safe to say, the more everyone roasted the space, the more Shelley was looking forward to seeing it.

“I’m really excited to because it sounds so hideous,” she told House 4.

How did the teams explain the, uh, ‘interesting’ space to the hosts? Find out in the video at the top of this article.
