We witnessed a troubling scene last night involving Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz.

After being hit in the head by Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett, Stolarz’s condition quickly worsened.

Although he remained in the game briefly after the hit, Stolarz’s condition rapidly deteriorated on the bench.

A very concerning scene on the Toronto Maple Leafs bench involving goaltender Anthony Stolarz following a hit from Sam Bennett

Expert Dr. Chris Nowinski immediately sounded the alarm regarding Stolarz’s condition.

“When I initially posted about Anthony Stolarz, I didn’t know they had initially left him in for over two minutes until he began vomiting on the bench.
We need to do better.
PSA: If you vomit multiple times after a blow to the head, go to the emergency room immediately.”
– Chris Nowinski, Ph.D.

We absolutely must do better!

After what happened with Logan Thompson against the Montreal Canadiens, you never know, but everything indicates that Stolarz’s series is over.

A concussion is serious business!

And it gets worse..

“Anthony Stolarz was taken out of Scotiabank Arena on a stretcher during the third period of tonight’s game, per sources.”
– Chris Johnston

This is really bad news.

We’re sending positive thoughts to the Leafs goaltender.

More details to follow.
