Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens have just made a long-awaited announcement, following their elimination against the Washington Capitals.

We were waiting for it, and now we have it, the answer to when the Canadiens’ much-anticipated end-of-season press conference would take place.

The Canadiens call the media for a Kent Hughes press conference starting tomorrow

So, “locker clean-out day” for the Montreal Canadiens will officially be tomorrow morning.

“The Canadiens’ end-of-season media availability will take place Friday morning, starting at 9:30.”

Patrick Friolet, RDS

That didn’t take long!

The Canadiens clearly want to get this wrapped up quickly, and then send everyone off for a well-deserved break.

Kent Hughes, Jeff Gorton, Martin St-Louis, and the majority of the players will be present at the press conference tomorrow, Friday, May 2, and they will answer questions.

Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed of everything that happens tomorrow.

Quietly, it’s already known that David Savard played his final game with the Canadiens last night, but it’s clear several other players also suited up for the last time with the Habs.

Who are these players?

It’ll be interesting to see if Kent Hughes gives any hints on that front.

Overall, I expect a very positive season review for the Montreal Canadiens.

The players can be proud of their season, and things definitely look promising for next year.

“Canadiens players will meet with the media for the final time this season Friday morning at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard, followed by a press conference with Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes.”

The announcement was also confirmed by Chantal Machabée.
