After making history on last year’s season of The Block, Paige and Jesse Maguire have thrilled fans on social media with a very exciting announcement. The Western Australian couple shared a sweet post on Monday evening revealing that they’re expecting their first child together.

“Family of 4 loading,” they captioned the gallery, referring to their dog Barkley as their first child. The post features a video of the moment Paige first told Jesse she was pregnant, and he immediately began tearing up.

“Say ‘Paige is pregnant’!” she said during a photoshoot, with Jesse repeating in disbelief, “Are you serious?”.

Paige and Jesse competed on the milestone twentieth season of The Block in Phillip Island but quit in week five to prioritise their mental health, becoming the first team in the show’s history to exit midway through filming.

The couple tell Yahoo Lifestyle that since the reality show ended last year, their lives have been “filled with love, laughter, and peaceful moments together”.

“Life has felt blissful in our little bubble, and now, with a baby on the way, we’re thrilled to share that our happiness is growing along with our family,” they share.

Paige and Jesse became engaged in April 2022 after five years of dating, but made the surprising decision to call off their wedding in September 2024, as first revealed by Yahoo Lifestyle.

While their relationship was put to the test on the renovation reality show, and many viewers assumed they had broken up, the couple then announced in November that they had secretly gotten married in Paris.

“Eloping felt like the most authentic way to celebrate our love and this commitment we were both ready to make to one another. A way to focus on what truly matters,” Paige told us at the time.

“Paris holds a special place in our relationship – it’s a city we like to visit often, it’s a city that is intimate, timeless and romantic, and it made for the ideal setting to begin this chapter in such a special way. And it’s not too bad having a reason to head back for every anniversary.”

Paige and Jesse’s pregnancy announcement has received plenty of celebratory comments from their followers, including their Block co-star Kylie Baker.

“Stop! Amazing news. You two will make the most incredible parents! Plus best looking. Miss you guys!” she wrote, while former contestant Kristy Beames added, “Congratulations guys”.

“OMG this is the cutest pregnancy announcement I’ve seen ever! Congrats Paige and Jesse I’m so bloody happy for you both. All the best with the new chapter that is upcoming for you both,” another follower shared.

“Best mum and dad EVER. So proud of you two,” someone else replied, followed by a different user who said, “Oh my gosh the best news. You could tell you were a lovely couple on The Block and this is just the most wonderful news”.
