Deborra-Lee Furness is ‘living in the moment’ and choosing ‘joy’ after ex Hugh Jackman packs on PDA with Sutton Foster

The actor’s estranged wife appears ‘balanced and centered’

HUGH Jackman’s ex Deborra-Lee Furness is doing just fine as her estranged husband shows off his new romance with Sutton Foster.

The mother of two, who was married to the actor for nearly 30 years, is acting “joyful” and “letting go” of any tension or resentment.

Body language expert Patti Wood, the author of Snap: Making the Most of First Impressions, Body Language, and Charisma, claims the 69-year-old blond bombshell is moving on with her life despite the painful split and her ex’s very public new romance.

During a recent scooter ride in New York City, Deborra-Lee “has a great smile on her face, and carries no tension in her hands or face,” the expert told The U.S. Sun.

“You have to be very centered and balanced to ride a scooter, which she is,” she added of the November 18 outing.

At the Australian Open on January 14, Deborra-Lee let out a big laugh with her daughter Ava, 19.

The proud mom- who was wearing an evil eye, commonly used to ward off negative energy- looks “joyful,” Patti claimed.

“She looks like she’s having the best time in the world. She’s letting go, saying ‘I’m just going to be in the moment and grab my joy.’ And it looks genuine, not fake.”

Deborra-Lee looked cool, calm and collected at the US Open on September 3.

“She has a wide-open smile, a high-energy smile,” Patti observed. “Her hand in her pocket indicates she’s feeling a little bit protective, but overall, she’s not tense. She’s doing okay!”

SHOCKING SPLIT- AND NEW ROMANCE

Deborra-Lee and Hugh shocked fans by announcing their separation in September 2023.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.

“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they said in a statement.

Rumors began circulating soon after that Hugh was quietly dating his Music Man co-star, Sutton Foster, 49.

Sutton announced her split from husband Ted Griffin in October 2024 after 10 years of marriage.

Us Weekly reported the next month that Sutton and Hugh’s relationship was “the reason Hugh and Deb got divorced.”

Deborra-Lee’s close friend Amanda de Cadenet raised eyebrows when she commented on a TikTok claiming Hugh’s former wife was “blindsided” by his romance with Sutton.

“You are on point with this one. My beloved friend Deb is about to have her glow up any moment fyi!” the British socialite wrote.

Hugh and Sutton went public with their romance this month, packing on the PDA during an In-N-Out burger run in LA.

‘MESSY’ DIVORCE

Deborra-Lee and Hugh are finally going to file divorce papers “in the next few weeks in New York,” The Daily Mail recently reported.

“One of the biggest reasons why they haven’t yet filed is that they never had a prenup,” an insider told the outlet.

“When they got married, they thought it would be forever. Who doesn’t? At the time, neither of them expected Hugh’s career to get as enormous as it has.

“Because there was no prenup, and he made a fortune during their marriage, this divorce is not going to be cut and dry. It may even get messy because the stakes are high.”
