Jules Robinson may be one half of Married At First Sight‘s biggest success story, but she’s also a big advocate for some time alone.
Jules recently returned from a solo getaway, reflecting that “sometimes the most important thing you can do is sit at a table by yourself”.
She shared a series of images from solo meals during her time away, each featuring a quote such as “time alone doesn’t mean lonely, it means knowing who you are” and “a table for one is never empty when you’re full within”.

In the last image, she shared a photo with husband Cam Merchant and sons Ollie and Carter saying: “But this will always be my favourite table to sit at”.
Jules told her 741,000 followers that to her, time alone is about “being centred”.
“It’s where clarity comes, where strength builds, where you reconnect with the version of you beyond all the roles you play.
She concluded with a sweet family photo. (Instagram @julesrobinson82)
“I’ve learned that identity is many things, layered, shifting, and always evolving.
“And when I honour that quiet time, I show up with more love for the people who matter most. Because it’s in both spaces… alone and together that keeps me whole.”
She encouraged her followers to take a solo getaway if they could, and joked that Cam now had a “travel credit” to use next.
Fans appreciated the reminder to take time for themselves.
“Love this Jules. Love the reflections & how important it is as women we keep doing this. Following your lead xxx” one person responded.

“Women tend to live more for the ones who surround us, this is why it’s so easy to forget about ourselves. Putting yourself first sometimes is necessary for our mental health, is not being selfish, it is just giving a bit of love to yourself so we can recharge energy to keep moving,” another shared.
“Love this so much!!!!! I love my little mum vacays on my own and so thankful for them. Resets your mind, body and soul,” agreed a third.
Jules and Cam’s relationship timeline
Jules and Cam were the first Married At First Sight Australia couple to get married for real after taking part in the experiment.
Cam dropped to one knee and proposed during the couple’s Final Vows.
“I knew as soon as you walked through there and I just saw you just then, you are the one for me. You are the one that I love and the one I want to spend forever with,” he said.
