NEW SEARCH | NEW CLUES? | LILLY AND JACK SULLIVAN
The updates coming in from the RCMP are very vague, and it can be a bit frustrating for those of us who have been following the case from the beginning.

For example, they confirmed the children were seen on May 1st with family — the day before they were reported missing — but they didn’t say whether it was from footage or eyewitness testimony. Obviously, if they were caught on camera footage, that would be much more concrete than someone simply saying they saw the children.

I heard that the children were seen with their parents and little sister, Meadow. However, many are questioning where the children were seen and if they were alive when seen. We’ve seen other cases — like the Meline Sodto case — where she was seen on footage too, but was already deceased.

I believe that if that were the case here, arrests would have already been made.

Anyway, there has been an ongoing search for Lily and Jack since yesterday. Searchers scoured the area where a bootprint was found in a previous search. Is this a huge clue then? Searchers concede they have little to go on and have no way of knowing if the bootprint is even related to Lily and Jack’s case. Apparently, it’s the only real lead they have so far.

Approximately 75 volunteers resumed the search this weekend. The search is focused on Lancetown Lake and a nearby pipeline trail. After a month of the children being missing, searchers — physically and emotionally — are finding it difficult to return to the search. It’s very taxing on them.

Daniel Martell, the stepfather, spoke out again. He said the past month has been painful for his family. Every day he wakes up, he feels like he’s reliving a nightmare. The main feelings of sadness have turned to anger, because there’s still no evidence after one month.

It’s interesting that he says that, yet shows no real anger toward the police. We’ve seen time and time again how frustrated the parents of missing children are with the police over the lack of progress in the case. Daniel seems calm and collected with them, always emphasizing that he is cooperating.

The search is currently ongoing and will continue until Sunday evening.
