There was a whole lot to unpack during walk-arounds this week on The Block.

With host Scott Cam getting to the bottom of the ‘copycat scandal’ starting with House 2. What Han and Can confirmed however, left the host absolutely flabbergasted.
Scotty was shocked. (Nine)
“There’s some controversy from House 4, they’re upset with you about something you did…” Scotty asked the girls.

Can explained from “day one” they had the idea to do a bench seat and steam room for the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa challenge – which currently has a $260,000 prize up for grabs.

“We didn’t realise that Sonny has done a lot of work behind the scenes to pioneer this, a bench seat that can go in the room,” Can continued.

If you recall, the teams were originally told no due to access requirement, but Sonny being the tradie he is, found a workaround.

This workaround was passed on by the “chippy on site” said the girls, and so, the ‘copycat scandal’ began.

“We don’t want bad blood between anyone on The Block,” said Can. “If we were to win the caravan we would absolutely give it to them knowing how much work they’ve put in…”

That’s when Scotty interrupted.
Can was done with it. (Nine)
“Whoa, whoa. What are you talking about? It’s a competition,” he reminded them. “I would rethink giving up the caravan if you want it.”

To which Can replied: “You can’t put a price on integrity.”

“We’re there to make a cool bathhouse, the fact it’s been tainted with questioning our integrity is disgusting,” she said.

Over at Sonny and Alicia’s house, Scotty had the same question: “The Hepburn Spa challenge… what’s going on?”

Sonny and Alicia reminded everyone they were now “playing the game”.

“It doesn’t matter because they’re not going to win anyway,” said Sonny.
