LABOUR is making a complete mess of welfare.
Panicked and driven Left-wards by Reform’s surge, the Government is wobbling on the tough decisions needed to get Britain out of its high tax, high spending nightmare.

Here are some hard facts for hand-wringing rebel Labour MPs trying to force the PM and Chancellor to change course.
There are nine million economically inactive people in Britain.
Around 6.4 million are on some kind of benefits.
That includes a quarter of Birmingham’s working population and over a fifth in Manchester.
In Grimsby and Blackpool it’s HALF.
Britain’s total welfare bill will be £378 billion by the end of the decade.
How can this possibly go on?
And how can this cash-strapped Government contemplate measures such as removing the two-child benefit cap?

LABOUR spent years doing their utmost to make sure the Tories’ Rwanda migration project failed.
Now ministers are looking at sending illegal migrants to Kosovo instead.
Except they will only be transferred if their asylum application is already processed and refused here.
Given around 50 per cent of asylum claims are granted, shipping those who fail is only half a deterrent.
Until our Government catches up with Italy, Denmark and Sweden and truly gets tough on illegal migration, the small boats will keep on coming.
Crowning glory
IN possibly the biggest diplomatic test of his reign, the King has flown to Canada to address its Parliament and is later this year expected to welcome Donald Trump to Britain.
Loyal ally Canada deserves such a show of support from their Monarch.
No doubt, His Majesty will also cement Britain’s special relationship with the US President when he visits.
Only our King — like his late mother — has the power and prestige to do both.
