Married At First Sight has never been short of drama – but producers have well and truly outdone themselves with the line-up of intruders set to shake up the 2026 experiment.

Daily Mail can reveal that the latest intruder groom is Joel Moses, a 31-year-old Sydney-born model, drummer and entertainer who describes himself as ‘over the top’ and ‘too much for some.’

And if that wasn’t enough to raise eyebrows, Joel is also a self-confessed mummy’s boy whose own mother gleefully spilled that he still asks her for back scratches – and until recently was ‘married to his teddy bear.’

Signed to top agency KHOO Management, Joel has carved out a career in modelling and entertainment, and his Star Now profile paints him as a ‘larger-than-life’ character with ‘natural charisma’ and a ‘passion for the spotlight.’

Friends say that’s an understatement.

‘He’s out of control and completely unpredictable – which seems to be the perfect mix for MAFS these days,’ one pal quipped.

At his on-screen wedding, Joel reportedly made sure everyone in the room knew he was a model, leaving his bride and guests in no doubt about his flair for theatrics.

Producers have paired Joel with Juliette Chae, a glamorous Lebanese Melbourne creative who insiders describe as ‘an absolute sweetheart.’

Passionate about directing small films, Juliette is also extremely close to her family and has been tipped as one of the more grounded brides of the season.

‘She’s classy, clever and connected to her roots,’ one production source revealed.

‘But don’t be fooled – she’s got a spark that producers are banking on when Joel starts showing his over-the-top side. Together, they’re going to deliver fireworks.’

Joel and Juliette’s arrival comes as part of a broader shake-up, with producers introducing three intruder couples mid-season – including Adelaide fitness model Sam Stanton and Sydney trainer Chris Robinson, who made headlines as the show’s latest same-sex pairing.

According to insiders, all three intruder couples were given strict marching orders before filming began.

‘They were told from the get-go that they need to create drama and keep it flowing,’ one insider spilled.

‘Even if they don’t hit it off romantically, they’ve been asked to ride it out until the end of filming. Producers don’t want another situation where intruders quit after three days – they want fireworks.’

The arrival of Joel and Juliette adds to what is already being described as the most chaotic season in MAFS history.

For the first time ever, participants are undergoing weekly drug tests, with any positive reading resulting in immediate expulsion.

The drastic measure followed a rogue weekend earlier this month where multiple cast members broke curfew, disappeared from set and sparked fights.

‘Production has every reason to be p**sed off,’ one insider revealed. ‘The night in question completely blew up – cast members disappeared, fights broke out and one couple is already in turmoil.’

New executive producer Kate Paul, stepping in while long-time boss Alex Spurway is on maternity leave, has also tightened curfews, with hotel key cards now deactivated after hours unless cleared by an associate producer.

Already this season, one ‘stunning, outspoken and fearless’ bride has dramatically quit the experiment just days into filming, despite producers begging her to stay.

Cricket presenter Ankita Karungalekar was left stranded after her groom Micah Lomu was abruptly axed following an internal investigation. Insiders say Ankita was ‘100 per cent safe, happy and comfortable’ to continue but was denied a re-match.

And the infamous dinner parties are already living up to their reputation.

‘Bosses stormed onto set and told them to deliver or face filming until sunrise. And they delivered,’ one source dished.

‘The latest dinner party wrapped in record time – but left the experts speechless.’

Relationship expert John Aiken has warned viewers to brace for impact.

‘This year’s brides are fearless – they will call people out, and that’s going to make for some very fiery dinner parties,’ he told Daily Mail.

One production insider was even blunter: ‘This year’s cast are treating it like the Olympics of drama. If you thought last season was bad, you haven’t seen anything yet.’
