“Bit of an act for TV.”

Chad and Georgia appeared to be the golden couple of Stranded on Honeymoon Island; they grew close during their time on the remote Fijian island, and exchanged ‘I love yous’ during the finale.

However, the couple split shortly after the finale was filmed, with Georgia telling Chattr that Chad broke up with her in a message.

“Chad and I are not together anymore,” she said. “Three weeks after he told me he loved me at the Commitment Ceremony, he friend-zoned me and dumped me via text message.”

She added that she doesn’t speak to Chad “after his childish behaviour”.

“He ghosted me for four days, then dumped me via a string of text messages. He said to me that he just sees more of a friendship in this, even though three weeks prior, he cried and told me that he loved me at the Commitment Ceremony.”

The Commitment Ceremony between Georgia and Chad was an emotional one, with Chad going into detail about being a carer for his disabled sister and said she had an “out” if she wanted it. But, Georgia reassured Chad that she wanted to be with him.

Despite the vulnerable exchange between the couple, Georgia told Chattr that Chad didn’t introduce her to his family after they arrived back in Melbourne.

“He also never introduced me to his sister or his mum in these three weeks we were together (when we returned back from the island). This was not Chad that I had fallen in love with on the island and I started to question everything.”

Georgia added that she believes that Chad was on the show to get exposure, not to find love.

“It was very hurtful at the time and it made me question his motives for going on the show. Yes, I do think it was a bit of an act for TV because the person I went home with was a different person to the person who was on the island.”

Georgia has found love since Stranded on Honeymoon Island

While Georgia didn’t find her happy ending on Stranded on Honeymoon Island, she did find it after filming the show.

“I am in a relationship with a wonderful man now, which I will be revealing all in good time,” she told Chattr.

She added that she doesn’t have any regrets, because all of her actions led her to meeting her now-boyfriend.

“I do believe everything happens for a reason and having Chad end the relationship led me to meeting the man of dreams. So thank you Chad.”
