The Block’s ‘biggest losers’ have had a win, nabbing a tidy profit for their Gold Coast holiday pad.
Dylan Adams and Jenny Heath-Adams walked away empty-handed on the 2022 season of the Nine renovation juggernaut, with their house failing to secure a buyer.
However, the couple has seen a reversal of that fortune, recently selling their Coolangatta apartment for $1.35 million.
Dylan and Jenny bought the beachside property back in January for $920,000.
After a whirlwind nine-month renovation, the couple were all smiles after making a tidy $430,000 profit on the ‘fixer-upper’.
Speaking to the Gold Coast Bulletin, Jenny said she and Dylan pulled out all the stops to update the unit that was built in the 1990s.

‘We pulled out all the stops to create something truly special, using only the highest quality fixtures and finishes,’ she said.
Dubbed Dutton Cove, the property features two bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, while both open onto an expansive courtyard.
Boasting a breezy, Mediterranean feel, the apartment enjoys an open-plan layout, where the lounge area connects seamlessly to the dining space.
It also features a gourmet galley kitchen with luxe Taj Mahal benchtops, Boston oak cabinets and a custom-designed Micro-Cement range hood.
There is also a stunning outdoor area with crazy-pave paths meandering through the courtyard.
It’s an entertainer’s dream too, with a custom-made, free-standing gazebo providing the perfect place for dinner parties and casual BBQs.
The apartment is also close to the convenience of Coolangatta’s vibrant café strip, and world-famous Gold Coast beaches.
Dylan and Jenny were left heartbroken in 2022 when they walked away empty-handed after their house failed to attract interest at auction.

Speaking to Domain in December 2022, Jenny said it was ‘crazy’ to think their house ‘is worth so much more than what it will go for’.
The apprentice carpenter explained everything in the house was ‘top-of-the-range’ and she and Dylan would have bought it themselves if they could afford it.
The show’s executive producer Julian Cress said Dylan and Jenny’s house was ‘literally a bargain’ with a price guide of $4.08million to $4.4million, noting that its actual value is closer to $6.5million ‘when you take in the build costs and land value‘.
‘Honestly it’s crazy that it’s still on the market. We just don’t know whether we’re going to make nothing, or if we could make $10,000 or $100,000,’ Jenny explained.
To add insult to injury, the Gisborne property remained on the market for almost six months, eventually selling for $180,000 less than the reserve at $3.9million.
The Palm Beach property they began renovating before their Block appearance also failed to sell in 2023.
The couple decided to retain that property, making it their family home after welcoming their first child, Billy, in 2024.
One photo, shared to Instagram, showed their little boy wrapped in a blanket and cradled by the two doting parents in the hospital.

Another snap featured Jenny in her hospital bed before giving birth, while a third photo was taken of Dylan and Jenny touching Billy for the first time just after birth.
‘HELLO WORLD I’M HERE. Billy Heath Adams. 24.07.24,’ the caption read.
‘I’m a happy healthy bubba, mum’s recovering well, dad’s taking care of us.’
The Block favourites first shared the good news that they were expecting a baby back in January.
‘We’ve been keeping a little secret… Baby Adams due July,’ they wrote on Instagram alongside some images of the pair.
The photos showed the smitten couple cuddling on a beach as they showed off their ultrasound image.
The pair exchanged vows at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Gold Coast in March last year, sharing a series of wedding photos to Instagram.
