The future of Jordan Kyrou with the St. Louis Blues has quickly become one of the most intriguing storylines of the NHL offseason. While rumors have swirled about a potential trade involving the Montreal Canadiens, conflicting reports from top insiders have only deepened the mystery surrounding Kyrou’s status.

Now, fresh information has emerged, suggesting that the Blues’ motivation to move their top goal scorer might be stronger than previously believed—and that Kyrou himself would be open to a blockbuster deal with Montreal.

With both teams facing major decisions and the window for negotiation wide open, the situation is evolving rapidly, keeping fans and analysts alike on the edge of their seats. As the drama unfolds, all eyes are on the next move in what could become one of the biggest trades of the year.

The Jordan Kyrou situation appears to be a complex one with the St. Louis Blues, and according to Frank Seravalli, it seems far from being resolved.

In recent days, we mentioned in a column that the rumor linking the Montreal Canadiens to Jordan Kyrou of the St. Louis Blues was, to say the least, inaccurate.

Chris Johnston and Darren Dreger agreed that the situation had been misunderstood, and that the interest was only from the Canadiens’ side, not from the Blues.

“I’m not even sure Jordan Kyrou was really available.”

– Chris Johnston

“I think the Canadiens were very interested in Jordan Kyrou; explain to me why the St. Louis Blues would want to move on from a young player like that-unless you’re getting a player.. whose availability in Montreal we don’t even know.”

– Darren Dreger

Frank Seravalli Weighs In on the Jordan Kyrou Situation Tied to the Montreal Canadiens

Despite the comments from both insiders, another well-informed figure, Frank Seravalli, is taking the opposite stance in this case.

According to him, the Blues would actually like to unload Kyrou’s contract. Wow.

So, he would be more than available!

At 8.125M per year for another 6 seasons, the 27-year-old forward’s contract indeed takes up a significant chunk of the Blues’ cap space.

That said, he was still the team’s top goal scorer last season with 36 goals.

It’s worth wondering why Doug Armstrong wants to move him-especially after trading away a prospect (Zachary Bolduc) who scored 19 goals last season and could very well have a much higher output in the years to come.

Max Truman Reveals Information That Changes Everything

Many thought July 1st would be the deadline to trade Kyrou, since that’s when his no-trade clause kicked in. However, new information obtained by Max Truman from the site DLC changes the situation.

“According to excellent sources close to the situation, Kyrou’s agent asked his client in recent days if he would agree to waive his no-trade clause to go to Montreal, in the event a deal is reached between the Blues and the Canadiens.

Kyrou’s response: of course, yes!”

– Max Truman

So that means Montreal is not on the list of 15 teams Kyrou does not want to be traded to.

That’s already fantastic news, and Kent Hughes can now take his time negotiating with Doug Armstrong.

Truman adds more.

According to his information, Nick Suzuki and Kyrou-who know each other-have discussed the city of Montreal in recent days.

Definitely, this is a storyline to watch in the coming days..
