Stephen A. Smith was once again on Fox News to talk shop with Sean Hannity and the topic of his ongoing feud with LeBron James was addressed.

There was a recent confrontation between Smith and LeBron at a Lakers game where LeBron got into the ESPN host’s face over recent comments made about his son, Bronny James.

In the days since the incident, people have swarmed to both of their “corners” to defend positions.

While some people have chosen to take a more neutral stance on the issue, Hannity did not. During his conversation with Smith, Hannity told LeBron to “grow up” and declared that if he had been there with Smith he would have “had his back.”

“By the way, what was up with LeBron?” Hannity asked. “He was getting in your grill. What was that?”

“He thought that I was insulting his son when, in fact, that’s not what I was doing,” Smith replied.

“Grow up,” Hannity said, directing the statement at LeBron.

“I was getting on him because he had gone through so many things to, you know, have his son in the NBA,” Smith continued. “He was bringing unnecessary attention on his son.

Prematurely, in my estimation. He didn’t like that, so he confronted me. It’s his prerogative. He didn’t put his hands on me. That’s all that matters. He can feel whatever way he wants to feel. I’m gonna do my job. I cover the sport. That’s what I’m gonna do.

“Alright, if I was there, I would’ve had your back,” Hannity said. “If I was there. Just saying.”

Smith said that it probably wouldn’t have been necessary for Hannity to get involved though:

“I have plenty of people to have my back. It wasn’t necessary. But I appreciate it,” Smith said.

Sean Hannity is around six feet tall – around the same height as Stephen A. Smith. So it’s hard to say if he’d have any more luck in a physical confrontation with the 6-foot-8 NBA superstar.

But it would have also required Hannity going to an NBA game, which he probably would never do in the first place given how much he hates many of the players.
