In a heated turn of events, it’s been reported that a couple from Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 has already been axed from next year’s season.
While we’ve yet to receive a cast list, promo or premiere date, MAFS Funny podcast host Joshua Fox has reported that incoming MAFS 2026 couple Micah Lomu and Ankita Karungalekar have been removed from the show.
“I’m told by my sources that it’s Micah and Ankita [who] were removed at the start of the week before the first dinner party,” Fox claimed.
“The rest of the cast then arrived for the dinner party and were told to never mention them despite the fact they’d already met them at the bucks and hens parties, and producers are planning to just never air the wedding, like it didn’t happen.”
According to Fox, the reason behind the couple’s axing has not been revealed. However, he believes it could stem from Micah’s pre-reality TV past.
“I don’t know anything else other than all of this comes after a TikTok went viral with a woman alluding to something in Micah’s past that she said she’d be sharing publicly soon,” Fox continued.
“The woman never actually made any accusations in her TikTok. She just kind of said, like something’s coming. But yeah, now he’s been removed from the show.”
Before the reports of a brutal MAFS axing, TikToker Monica (@mondrof) shared a series of videos calling out the show for casting Micah.
“It is really concerning that the MAFS producers haven’t done their research,” Monica said in one TikTok before sharing that multiple women have come forward with claims against the 2026 groom.
Last year, MAFS was embroiled in controversy after past domestic violence charges against 2025 groom Adrian Araouzou resurfaced.
Per The Australian, Araouzou was previously acquitted of domestic violence charges against a former partner, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, domestic violence common assault, and resisting police charges, before appearing on the show.
Adrian has denied the allegations, stating through his lawyer, “Any suggestion of physical assault is categorically denied. I had my day in court, I was found not guilty, and the application for an AVO was dismissed. Any allegation otherwise is completely baseless and highly defamatory”.
At the time of writing, Nine or EndemolShine have not responded to the online controversy surrounding incoming groom Micah.
