Farmer Tom wrapped up his time on Farmer Wants A Wife on Tuesday night after leaving with the woman he loves.

After finding love, Farmer Tom became the second man to leave Farmer Wants A Wife early this year. In the end, it came down to Georgie and Eliza, and after a visit with both ladies’ families and a final date, Tom made his choice with Georgie.

While Georgie’s mum, Karen, expressed concern about her leaving life in Geelong, Georgie set Tom’s mind at ease during their final date, telling him she wanted to take it a bit slower as she has a habit of diving into things too quickly, which he agreed with. They decided that if it was her, they would do long distance for a little while, and then she would move into her own place nearby rather than moving straight to the farm.

On the opposite end of the scale, when he met Eliza’s family, he was surprised by how easily they got along and during their final date, she told him she was falling for him.

Before telling Georgie she had won his heart, he became very emotional, telling Eliza he’d “fallen for someone else”.

“You have so much love to give, and I truly believe you deserve to find someone that can give you that much love back,” a tearful Tom told Eliza. “I’m sorry, Eliza, but I’ve fallen for someone else.”

Unable to contain his emotions, Tom told Eliza not to give up in her search for love and left her by saying he hoped they’d speak again soon.

On a happier note, when Tom sat with Georgie, he told her, “Through this whole experience, I enjoyed every moment I’ve been with you. I’m excited to take the next step in this, and I’ve fallen really hard and fast for you, Georgie. I’m totally in love with you.”

Georgie responded, “I feel exactly the same way. This has just been the best experience of my life. I’ve fallen in love with you. I’m so happy now.”

While some fans were happy for Farmer Tom and Georgie, others thought he was better suited to Eliza and were surprised he was more emotional breaking up with her than he was telling Georgie he loved her.

“I do feel [Tom and Georgie] were the better match but I thought he was more emotional about breaking up with the other girl than he was when telling Georgie he loved her!” one user said. “Hope they work out, she seems lovely.”

“Agree but Georgie was a lot more open during the experience,” another responded.

“They always pick the girl with the difficult family,” a third said. “Farmer Tom’s ladies were both lovely! I feel for Eliza 🧡.”

“This is the awful part of these shows someone eventually leaves broken hearted,” someone else wrote.

“Sorry Tom but you picked the wrong lady!” one viewer wrote.

“No wrong girl,” another said.

“I agree, totally wrong girl, how can their bond grow if she’s not prepared to move to the farm just yet, he has a job to do and it would be hard for him to drop everything,” yet another wrote.

Someone else said of Georgie and Tom’s relationship, “Nope. This has got 5 minutes written all over it. Georgie’s body language and she says ‘aww stop’ after Tom’s declaration of love. Ouch.”

Others wished Tom’s declaration wasn’t so scripted, with one person writing, “The scripting is cringe. Just speak from the heart mate.”
