While the colder months may be among us here in New Zealand, there’s an entirely different kind of season on the horizon this year; season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty, that is.
The TV adaptation of Jenny Han’s novel of the same name will returned to Prime Video for a third and final season on 16 July 2025. However this time, things will come to a more definitive conclusion…
Here’s all the details on what you can expect to see from season 3, who stars in it and how to watch The Summer I Turned Pretty in NZ.

What is season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty about?
Season one of the show was all about Belly (Lola Tung) coming into her own while exploring new relationships with brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Then, season two was about figuring out once and for all where her heart truly lies.
Now, we hear season three will be set at the end of Belly’s junior year – two years after the end of the second season. Once again, she finds herself torn over which brother is best for her after her first love, Conrad returns from time spent away. However, on the brink of adulthood, she must finally make a decision. Will she commit to Conrad or Jeremiah?

Will there be a season 4 of The Summer I Turned Pretty?
As season three is based on the third and final novel in Han’s trilogy, We’ll Always Have Summer, we understand that this season will also conclude the series. Soak in every minute of it, because we aren’t expecting a fourth season in the future.
Who stars in the season three cast?
Much the same as in previous seasons, The Summer I Turned Pretty season three stars Lola Tung as Isabel ‘Belly’ Conklin, Christopher Briney as Conrad Fisher, and Gavin Casalegno as Conrad’s brother Jeremiah Fisher. Viewers can also expect Sean Kaufman to return as Belly’s brother Steven, Rain Spencer to return as Taylor and Jackie Chung to return as as Belly’s mother Laurel.
Although viewers grew to love Kyra Sedgwick as Aunt Julia in season two, she announced in 2024 that she will unfortunately not be returning for the third season.

Is there a trailer for season 3?
Prime Video released a teaser trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty season three on April 25. Watch it below before diving into the show.
