After 12 weeks of hard work, Scott Cam called ‘tools down’ on The Block 2025 – but as the cameras packed up and the teams headed home, the journey to Auction Day had just begun!

The time in between filming and Auction Day may not involve daily pre-start meetings and high vis, but it’s certainly still a busy time for the Blockheads.

From babies, to a celebrity endorsement, to throwing everything they have at trying to sell their homes, here is everything the Blockheads have been up to since tools down:

Han and Can are ready to take the next step

Han and Can in House 2 certainly had a rollercoaster experience, from Han spending time in hospital to being caught up in a ‘copycat’ scandal with their neighbours.

As a consequence, their relationship was tested at times – but post-filming, they’re better than ever!

The Block is the ultimate relationship tester,” Can told TV Week. “It is a high-pressure environment for anyone, and it honestly just made us stronger in the end.”

Han even hinted that if they walk away with money at auction, it could go towards an exciting next step.

“The next step for us would be getting engaged, if we can afford a ring… If we earn any money from The Block,” she told TV Week.

Perhaps an Auction Day proposal is on the cards!?

Friendships have been tested

While Britt and Taz and Sonny and Alicia struck up a close bond early in the competition, that all came crashing down in later weeks.

The couples have not repaired their friendship since filming ended, but they’re also not locked in an explosive feud.

“I think we’re all civil,” Britt told Yahoo Lifestyle.

“It’s not like previous years, where people couldn’t be in the same room. It’s not like that. This year’s a little bit different in that sense. We’re all civil.”

The teams go all out to sell their homes

The teams all returned to their respective home towns after filming wrapped, but they certainly didn’t forget about the biggest challenge ahead!

Kim McQueen, of McQueen Real Estate in Daylesford, is agent for Robby and Mat’s House 5, and she told Domain they had seen interstate and local interest.

Sonny and Alicia’s agent Tom Shaw, of BigginScott Daylesford, also said he’d had interest from several Melbourne buyers’ advocates.

Britt and Taz initially returned to their police jobs in Newman, WA, but have recently been temporarily living in Daylesford to meet and greet with potential buyers.

Meanwhile, Han and Can have also been spending time in House 2 and in Daylesford as they too work hard to sell their home.

In fact, they scored themselves a celebrity endorsement!

Musician G Flip shared a shoutout for the couple and their “absolute banger” house.

“Shoutout to the queer queens Han and Can… let’s go Han and Can!” they celebrated.

We will officially have a baby at the Auction!

Emma and Ben announced their well-kept pregnancy secret mid-way through this season, and in September they welcomed their baby boy.

Bailey was due to arrive on October 28, within just days of The Block auction.

“He really just didn’t want to miss the auction,” Emma laughed.

“He was so determined to come into this world.”

Mat’s going to be a dad

The Block renovations might be over but Mat is about to take on a whole new adventure – he’s going to be a dad.

The 41-year-old revealed to New Idea that he and his close friend Leah Cocks will be co-parenting a baby boy due in December 2025.

Taking to Instagram, Mat shared a video of himself revealing the news to his family. “Something beautiful has been growing — and it’s finally time to share it,” he wrote.

In the emotional video, Mat sat down with his mum, her partner and his sister and said: “I’ve got something very exciting to share with you all. Honestly you will have no idea.”

At that point Mat handed his mum a bag with onesie inside. When she pulled it out she and the rest of the family erupted into shock and cheer.

“I’m having a baby! You’re going to be a granny and you’re going to be an aunty!”
