It’s no secret that there are a lot of Farmer Wants A Wife fans who have fallen out of love with the show this year. Many people have suggested there is too much drama and that producers focus too much on creating villain edits, rather than actual love stories.

So, when Channel 7 announced on Monday that the show was nominated for Best Structured Reality Program at the Logies, viewers were left surprised – some even thought it was a prank. The network wrote, “Yeeehaaw! #FarmerAU has been nominated for Best Structured Reality Program for the 2025 TV Week Logie Awards,” before asking fans to vote for the show.

Viewers responded to the post, but not in the way Channel 7 probably anticipated, with one person commenting, “Are you serious, it’s the worst Farmer Wants A Wife I’ve watched yet.”

“Totally agree!” another replied. “The show will probably lose viewers.”

“Is it April 1 today? If this is accurate then Aussie TV is in dire straits,” a third said.

“Unless the producers gain some real integrity, ‘Farmer Wants Strife’ can never yield a crop,” someone else joked.

“I’d rather vote for MAFS,” another quipped, while many others wrote, “You’ve got to be kidding,” and added that this year’s was the “worst season”.

“Jesus Christ, there is no reality in this show what so ever!” one viewer wrote. “Make it real. Farmers don’t sit in paddock having long chats or hot baths… I would love the directors to talk to real farmers and get some blokes that have gone through puberty.”

“Always loved this show up until last year, where it lost its way, but honestly, this year it has been more woeful,” another said. “I couldn’t in all honesty vote it as my favourite show. The whole series was pathetic and scripted.”

“Maybe about four years ago but definitely not now,” someone else wrote. “This year’s format is the worst.”

“If it goes BACK to the ORIGINAL FORMAT it was then I would agree with this but at the moment the producers are wrecking this once awesome show,” one passionate viewer said. “Get the original producers back that made this show awesome and get rid of the producers who are trying to make this show like the bachelor and MAFS!”

Not everyone was so negative, with some people responding that they had voted for the show.
