The gossip grapevine has wasted no time when it comes to the shocking split of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, with inside sources revealing the rumoured reason why they called it quits after 19 years of marriage.

ICYMI, Hollywood is in a tizzy after it was revealed that the beloved Aussie actress and country singer have apparently separated, with sources reporting to TMZ that they’ve been living apart “since the beginning of summer”.

At the time of writing, neither party has spoken publicly about the devastating split. However, inside sources have claimed that the duo’s hectic work schedules were what led to the relationship’s demise.

Why did Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban split?

“Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour,” a source claimed to Daily Mail.

“There was a lot of love between the two, and they might not divorce. They [have] been together for decades, so there is a world in which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, they are not a couple.”

The insider added that Urban was the one who initiated the split, which stemmed from an intervention in which he “[called] her out” over his “unhappiness” with their marriage, before adding that Kidman was “blindsided” by the confrontation.

“The intimacy isn’t there, they are just going through the motions [of being married]. If this separation gets them back together, that would be amazing, but Keith had to call her out that he isn’t happy,” the source continued.

“She was blindsided, but we shall see how things go during the holiday season and his upcoming birthday [next month]. They have some work to do.”

Meanwhile, another source told Page Six that Urban already has a new girlfriend and it’s the talk of Nashville!

Again, neither Urban nor Kidman have addressed the public regarding the massive relationship bombshell. So, please, take the tea with a grain of salt.

Following news of the shock split, sources told TMZ that Urban had moved into his own place in Nashville, while Kidman has remained in their family home with their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

The golden couple got hitched back in 2006 and have essentially become proof that eternal love does exist in Hollywood… until today.
