The Block’s 2026 location has been revealed after show regulars accidentally exposed the whereabouts of the $11m development site. The 2026 season appears to be taking place in the Mornington Peninsula—109 Old Mornington Rd, Mt Eliza, to be exact—according to realestate.com.au.

Employees from building company Nine in Six (who have worked on the show for 10 seasons) have been seen in the area having coffee in branded shirts, while the Herald Sun has reported that the Mt Eliza property was bought by the show earlier this week after intense negotiations. The $11m property was sold by former racing driver and Porsche enthusiast Rusty French, who purchased the site for $2.8m in 2007 and has been trying to sell it since 2016.

His more recent sales campaign included a subdivision of 10 blocks of land, with development plans that would have homes built with features like swimming pools and luxury finishes to complement the water views. It’s unknown, however, if the show will change those designs before they shoot.

Six of the ten blocks have been marked as sold, while four are still up for sale; however, it’s believed that The Block might have leased the remaining four sites for the duration of filming, which would allow for extra space for production.

Real estate agency Kay & Burton describes the location on their website as: “Set on an elevated site with sweeping views of Port Phillip Bay, this boutique community is thoughtfully planned to maximise the natural beauty and tranquillity of its surroundings. Each proposed residence has been designed with spacious layouts, high-quality finishes, and seamless indoor-outdoor living — ideal for those seeking style, comfort, and a strong connection to nature.

“Located just a 10-minute walk from the beach and moments from the vibrant Mount Eliza Village, residents will enjoy the best of coastal living with everyday convenience. The development is ideally situated near elite schools including Peninsula Grammar and Toorak College, scenic trails in Mount Eliza Regional Park, and essential services like Frankston Hospital. With easy access to public transport and major arterials such as Peninsula Link, commuting to Frankston or the Melbourne CBD is effortless.”

Many fans have shared their excitement over the new location, with one person writing, “Very exciting!!! Going to be great for all the local businesses.”

“Sooooo happy,” said another, while a third wrote, “Excited, not far from me.”

“Wow! Looks so pretty!” someone else said.

Not everyone was as excited, however, with one person writing, “Really wish it would go back to apartments near the city.”

“Wow they’ll be unaffordable and overpriced holidays homes,” another added.

“Oh yay more holiday homes for the rich and famous,” a third added sarcastically.
