Jennifer Garner‘s awkward exchange with a fellow A-list actress has resurfaced after being blasted for ‘acting’ during an interview amid the devastating L.A. wildfires.

The Hollywood actress, 52, has been volunteering to serve food to victims of the blazes throughout Southern California – after emotionally revealing to MSNBC last week that she had lost a friend in the disaster.

However, a TikToker reposted a snippet of an additional NBC interview with Garner who visited areas that were destroyed and called the star ‘a terrible actress.’

The social media user also referenced to a 2017 interview with Jennifer as she made an appearance for Chelsea Handler‘s Dinner Party: My American Experience.

The comedian sat down with a number of celebrities for a lowkey meal, with Garner and Regina King being two of the guests sitting at the circular table.

At one point, Regina was talking about being born in Los Angeles when Jennifer interrupted to question about her ancestry.

‘I grew up here in L.A., born and bred. One of the few people that are born and bred in L.A,’ King expressed.

‘It’s, I think, a very cool thing and I kind of wear it on my chest very proudly because so many people say, “Oh, L.A. is this and L.A. is that,” and I’m like, well, you’re not from L.A., so you don’t really know it.’

Garner then cut in to ask the star, ‘But do you know where your ancestors are from?’

After a quick laugh, Regina answered, ‘Well, yeah…They were part of the triangle slave trade. From Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Senegal.’

‘But my parents are both from the South. Met each other here. To this day, I’m totally grateful my mom left.’

She added, ‘My mom was the one that was like, “I am f**king out of this b***h and I’m going to see what else is out there,” and she came to L.A.’

Back in 2023, the conversation went viral and was brought up once again in a new TikTok video uploaded on Wednesday.

When the interviewer followed up on the tragic revelation, the actress said, ‘It’s too awful to talk about…It’s just unimaginable…’

The TikToker muted the video to share her own thoughts and told her followers, ‘I want you to watch this clip and think, is this person acting or is this truthful.’

‘And I also want you to consider why this person is constantly, constantly in the news. Constantly in paparazzi pictures, constantly with her children in paparazzi pix even though there’s nothing she’s promoting.’

‘And those people are always suspicious to me,’ the TikToker said. ‘It’s like, why are you constantly in front of me? Why is there this narrative that’s constantly being presented?’

‘I’m supposed to believe that this person is an amazing person,’ she continued, adding that she ‘doesn’t care’ about what people say in the comments.

‘Because to me, if you watch this clip or you observe this person and you can’t see what I’m talking about, I don’t think that you have good discernment.’

The media influencer then added, ‘That woman’s a terrible actress first of all. Second of all, there’s no reason that if you are a celebrity, you can’t just quietly write  a check.’

‘There’s no reason that you need to run and find the nearest camera to somehow make this about yourself.’

The TikTok user later shared, ‘It’s so obvious to me that this woman is so fake, and the harder that they’re out there pushing a story that like, “Oh shucks she’s just the girl next door” – the more suspicious I am.’

One wrote, ‘Yes yes yes I have never changed my mind once I saw that clip with Regina King.’

Another shared, ‘I’ve never liked Jennifer Garner! Never understood the fascination.’

However, others came to Garner’s defense.

One wrote, ‘In regards to that table thing with Regina king. Regina King kind of dug at most people who live in LA claiming she’s one of the few that are natural born LA resident.’

Jennifer was recently seen working with World Central Kitchen to help feed victims of the catastrophic fires in Altadena – a city that was affected by the Eaton Fire.

She joined chef Jose Andres for an interview with MSNBC and emotionally revealed that she had ‘lost a friend’ during the catastrophic event – which has now confirmed to have taken 25 lives. 

A number of residents and celebrities lost their homes in the flames, such as Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins and Tina Knowles.

And aside from Garner, other celebrities have been seen helping out on the ground including Meghan Markle – despite being branded a ‘disaster tourist’ by critics.
