Kim Kardashian dishes about patching up feud with former BFF Paris Hilton during KUWTK family reunion: ‘I think we drifted for a while, but we’re cool’

Kim Kardashian addressed her much-publicized feud with former bestie Paris Hilton during part one of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians 20th season reunion on E! on Thursday.

Older sister Kourtney Kardashian lumped Hilton in with some of the family’s friends who became ‘such haters and so jealous’ in the wake of the success of their reality show, which began airing in 2007.

‘When everything started to blow up, it was just a little bit like, what’s happening? Then we just stopped talking,’ Kim said of her fallout with Paris.

The beef between the longtime BFFs could be traced back originally to the jealousy that arose when Kim’s star rose fast and bright, and eventually overtook Paris in the fame game, just a few shorts years after she worked for her as an assistant and stylist.

During the chat with host Andy Cohen, Kourtney made sure to remind Kim that Paris once said her famous derriere reminded her ‘of cottage cheese inside a big trash bag.’

‘She did that interview about something that was negative to me, called my butt fat,’ the Skims founder continued, ‘but we spoke afterwards and had a real mature conversation about that.’

Kim Kardashian first started garnering attention online and in the gossip headlines when she was an assistant and stylist for Paris in the early 2000s.

She even appeared as a guest on various episodes of the reality series The Simple Life, between 2003 and 2006, which starred Paris and friend Nicole Richie.

On the heels of Kim’s infamous sex tape with former beau and rapper, Ray J (born William Ray Norwood), the Kardashian-Jenner family got their break into reality television, and the rest is much-talked about history.

Over the last 14-years, it appears as though nearly every professional venture turned to gold for members of the family.

The E! Network reality series premiered in 2007, just seven months after Vivid Entertainment released the 41-minute sex video titled, Kim Kardashian, Superstar.

‘I think we drifted for a while, but we’re super back cool and I think that I have a lot of respect,’ Kim explained, while also giving credit to Paris for helping putting her name on the celebrity map.

‘I will never think I’m too good to not know where I came from and understand she was a big part of my career.

‘Just being her best friend for so long … she opened up my mind to a whole other world. We have a really good relationship now.’ the reality star and entrepreneur, 40, maintained.

The second and final part of the 20th season reunion of Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs this Sunday on E!
