Excitement is brewing in Montreal this summer, and it’s not just because hockey fans are counting down the days until the new season. Early this morning, something happened at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard that has everyone buzzing—from passionate fans to insiders who know the Canadiens best.

The atmosphere was electric, and a familiar face was spotted on the ice, causing a ripple of surprise and anticipation throughout the city.

While most players are still enjoying their offseason, one star has chosen a different path, returning to the rink far earlier than expected. What’s even more astonishing is the company he’s keeping—and the chemistry that’s already starting to build among some of the team’s brightest young talents.

There’s a story unfolding behind the scenes, one that hints at hard work, unexpected reunions, and a level of dedication that could change the trajectory of the upcoming season.

Why has this player returned so soon? What’s driving him to push harder than ever before? And how might his presence impact the team’s fortunes in the months to come? For those eager to know what’s really happening in Brossard, the answers—and the full story—are just ahead.

We were treated to a pleasant surprise this morning, live from Brossard for the Montreal Canadiens.

Once again, thanks to the excellent work of Patou Info, who is on site, we can confirm that Patrik Laine is already back in town!

He is incredible this summer, this Patrik Laine.

After returning home to Finland for literally just a few days, he’s already back in town.. and already back at work, on the ice, live from Brossard!

We already have a familiar face back in Brossard as Patrik Laine has returned to the city

Clearly, he missed Montreal, hockey, and Brossard, even though he had only been gone for a few days.

See the footage below!

Laine wasn’t joking when he said he truly wanted to spend his entire summer in Montreal.

Let’s also recall the reason Laine briefly returned to Finland over the past few days.

Patrik Laine and Aleksander Barkov are participating in their charity golf tournament in Finland.

His work ethic this summer is truly incredible. It’s promising for the upcoming season, especially as Laine is developing exceptional chemistry with young Ivan Demidov, who was also on the ice today.

Patrik Laine, 27, recorded 33 points in 52 games last season, including 20 goals, and added one point in two playoff games.

He seems determined to significantly increase that production!
