In recent months, the rumor mill surrounding the Montreal Canadiens has been working overtime, with one persistent theory refusing to die down: could Carey Price, the iconic Habs goaltender, soon be taking on a new role within the organization?

Whispers of Price following in the footsteps of Paul Byron and joining the Canadiens in a coaching capacity have fueled endless speculation among fans and media alike.

But just as this intriguing narrative was gaining momentum, a surprising voice stepped forward to set the record straight—none other than Angela Price, Carey’s wife.

During a candid Q&A session with her followers, Angela was asked a question that many have been wondering: would she and Carey ever consider moving back to Montreal?

Her response was refreshingly honest, but also left many fans stunned, as she revealed a preference for small-town living and a desire to remain close to family.

What does this mean for Carey Price’s future with the Canadiens? Could this revelation finally put an end to the swirling rumors, or is there more to the story than meets the eye?

As the Prices’ plans come into focus, one thing remains certain: the next chapter in Carey Price’s journey is far from predictable—and fans won’t want to miss what comes next.

The wife of Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, Angela Price, recently addressed a persistent rumor involving the Canadiens goalie.

For the past few months, many rumors have suggested that Price could, much like Paul Byron, eventually be hired by the Montreal Canadiens.

Would he make a good goaltending coach? Probably, but we can also probably forget that idea.

As part of one of her recent Q&A sessions on her page, Angela Price was asked if she would agree to move back to Montreal And let’s just say her answer was pretty clear.

Angela Price would clearly refuse to move back to Montreal

See the exchange in question.

“Question:

Would you come back to Montreal?

Angela’s Answer:

I would come back to Montreal for a few visits per year.

That’s perfect for us.

We love Montreal, but we prefer a small town (like Kelowna), and obviously, we want to be closer to family.”

That’s something we can totally understand!

So, forget the idea of seeing Carey Price hired by the Montreal Canadiens, or at least forget the idea of him being hired as a goaltending coach or anything like that.

By staying in Kelowna and never moving back to Montreal, let’s just say that greatly limits the possibilities.

That said, we can still expect the Prices to come back for a few visits to Montreal each year.

Unless he’s traded soon?

That’s another situation that will be interesting to follow in September.
