Speculation is swirling that Married At First Sight’s golden couple Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli may soon be adding to their family.

The rumours kicked off this week after Michael shared a series of heartfelt posts to Instagram that had fans convinced a big announcement was coming.

In one black-and-white family snap, the reality stars appeared relaxed at home with their two-year-old son Lucius, surrounded by clothes and toys.

‘We’ve been working on something that we can’t wait to show you all,’ the caption teased.

The post sparked a frenzy in the comments section, with one follower writing: ‘Can’t be the only waiting for this pregnancy announcement.’

Another added: ‘Was waiting for the last slide to be a pregnancy announcement!’

Others were more practical, suggesting the couple could be preparing to launch a children’s clothing line.

It follows a string of candid updates from Michael, who last month shared an emotional video reflecting on the toll parenthood and pressure have taken on both him and Martha.

The personal trainer revealed that while he loves being a dad, the past two years have been challenging.

‘As cliché as it sounds, I looked in the mirror today and barely recognised the guy looking back,’ he admitted.

‘Not because there’s anything seriously wrong with me, but I finally accepted that I’m not where I should be… physically and mentally.’

He confessed he’s been stuck in ‘survival mode,’ neglecting his own health while prioritising his role as a father and partner.

‘My gym bag has dust on it, the veggies in the fridge are untouched, and the steps haven’t cracked 10,000 in months,’ he wrote.

‘It’s like I’m physically here, but in a thousand other places mentally.’

Despite the challenges, Michael emphasised that fatherhood remains his proudest achievement.

‘Being a dad is a massive part of my purpose,’ he added. ‘But somewhere in the life noise, the pressure, the lack of sleep, the negative thoughts… I stopped being much else.’

In June, Michael also paid tribute to Martha on her birthday with a touching message alongside footage from their family trip to Byron Bay.

‘Martha carries a lot, for me, for Looch, for everyone around her,’ he said in the clip. ‘She doesn’t complain, she just keeps going even when she probably shouldn’t have to.’

He admitted that ‘things have been heavy lately,’ with the couple juggling work, parenting and outside pressures.

‘Some days feel like we’re running in opposite directions. Snapping more, laughing less. So for her birthday we decided to stop, not run away, just step out of the noise.’

The couple – who first met on MAFS in 2019 and got engaged two years later – used the trip to reconnect.

‘We cooked, we swam, we talked about everything and nothing at all,’ Michael said.

‘It didn’t fix all the stress but it reminded us of what matters. We made a memory that will outlast any present.’
