It’s become a habit for Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens. Following last night’s big win over the Boston Bruins, St-Louis immediately announced in his post-game press conference that today would be a day off for everyone.

The Habs players are once again being rewarded with a nice day off, and today’s practice has been canceled.

“Head coach Martin St-Louis has canceled the scheduled Friday morning practice in Brossard.

Day off for the team before Saturday’s game at the Bell Centre against the Philadelphia Flyers and Sunday’s game in Nashville against the Predators.”

Day off for everyone today..except Lane Hutson!

Yep, despite the nice day off and rest offered by Martin St-Louis to his players, it’s still expected that a familiar face will be seen on the ice in Brossard.

“What do you think the odds are that Lane Hutson skates Friday morning at CN Sports Complex in Brossard on what will be a day off for Habs?”

The impressive young Habs defenseman hasn’t taken a single day off this season, and he’s hit the ice nearly every day, just like Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby do.

It’s often joked about, but it really is impressive and says a lot about Hutson.

As a reminder, the Canadiens will host the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow at 7 PM, live from the Bell Centre.

It’ll be another big two points up for grabs!
