The Montreal Canadiens were back at work today, and we received several updates.

First of all, please note that forward Josh Anderson was absent, as he required a treatment day even after the long break.

This says a lot about his current condition, and it is obviously not good news.

In addition to Anderson, the Canadiens announced another new injury.

Josh Anderson and Michael Pezzetta were absent today

See the confirmation here:

In a press conference in the past few minutes, Martin St-Louis mentioned that Pezzetta was injured before the break and is still not back to 100%.

These will be situations to monitor in the coming days, but despite the break, it appears the Canadiens are not back at full strength.

“The Canadiens announce that Michael Pezzetta is suffering from a lower-body injury, which explains why he is not on the ice for practice today in Brossard.

Therapy day for Josh Anderson, who is also not on the ice.

The team also indicated that Kaiden Guhle remains out indefinitely after suffering a laceration to his quadriceps muscle.”

As for Patrik Laine and Joel Armia, they were obviously absent.

Pezzetta, 26 years old, has 0 points in 14 games this season with the Canadiens, along with 10 penalty minutes and a -4 rating.

Anderson, 30 years old, has 18 points in 56 games this season with the Canadiens, along with 56 penalty minutes, and he is having an excellent season.
