Don’t stick a fork in their offseason just yet. The Dallas Cowboys are making moves.
Well, they’ve made a move.
According to Cowboys insider Clarence Hill, the Cowboys are set to sign veteran offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji to their 90-man offseason roster. The signing comes days after he did a free agency visit with the team.
Adeniji was a sixth round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, which also yielded Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins, and played pretty extensively over his three years with the team. He made 15 starts in 39 games for the Bengals, including starting nods in all four of their 2021 postseason games.
But over the past two seasons, he’s struggled to get onto the field due to injuries. He played in just four games with the Vikings in 2023 and spent the entirety of 2024 on injured reserve after signing with the Cleveland Browns.

Fortunately for Adeniji, he joins a Cowboys team that is in dire need of depth along the offensive line (among other things), so he should get his chance to compete for a big role, if not a starting job, in training camp.
But Adeniji isn’t the kind of high-impact signing that Dallas Cowboys fans have wanted – or that the team needs (no offense meant to Adeniji). They didn’t sign any new players to a deal worth more than $8 million per year and it seems unlikely that they found nothing but diamonds while shopping for bargains.
Will the Cowboys make any more signings this offseason?
