Logan Nijhoff has just signed within the Habs’ organization, with the Trois-Rivières Lions, but we may see him at the next training camp.

This is what the Trois-Rivières Lions have just confirmed via an official press release.

“Logan Nijhoff is back with the Lions!

Known for his speed and toughness, he will once again play a key role this year, both in the locker room and on the ice!

Welcome back, Hoffer!”

He took part in the Lions’ most recent championship, and he will try to do it again!

Here is an excerpt from the press release:

“TROIS-RIVIÈRES – The Trois-Rivières Lions (affiliate club of the Montreal Canadiens) have granted a new contract to Logan Nijhoff.

The forward was a key part of the Lions’ success last season, where he collected 25 goals and 24 assists for a total of 49 points in 58 games. He added 3 goals and 9 assists, for a total of 12 points during the playoffs.

Logan stood out not only with his points but also with his physical play, delivering several solid hits both in the regular season and the playoffs. He also played an important role in the locker room, being part of the leadership group.”

Nijhoff began his career within the Anaheim Ducks organization (he played for their AHL affiliate) and had an impressive breakout within the Habs’ organization.

Indeed, he recorded a very solid 49 points in 58 games with the Lions, which earned him a promotion of 8 games with the Laval Rocket.

So don’t be surprised if he plays with the Rocket again this season, and who knows? Maybe even higher still.
