Sidney Crosby’s name is swirling through Montreal once again, and this time, the whispers are louder than ever.

With the Canadiens’ front office reportedly willing to do “whatever it takes” to land the legendary center, the hockey world is bracing for a potential blockbuster that could shake the very foundations of the NHL.

But what exactly does “whatever it takes” mean when it comes to a player of Crosby’s stature? And how far would Kent Hughes and his team go to transform these rumors into reality?

Recent interviews with insiders and power players have only fueled the fire. Pierre LeBrun sat down with Crosby and his agent, Pat Brisson, revealing a candid glimpse behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, Frank Seravalli and Pierre McGuire have dropped hints about the Canadiens’ ambitions—and even tossed out jaw-dropping trade scenarios that might just make fans’ heads spin.

Yet, as the Penguins face another uncertain season, the possibility of Crosby donning the bleu-blanc-rouge feels more tangible than ever before. What secret strategies are unfolding in Montreal’s war room?

What is the real price of greatness? The answers remain hidden, but one thing is clear: this story is only just beginning.

Sidney Crosby’s name has started making the rounds again with the Montreal Canadiens.

This follows a very interesting interview published by the well-respected Pierre LeBrun – an interview with none other than Sidney Crosby himself, along with his agent Pat Brisson.

Pierre McGuire even went as far as to suggest a concrete price the Canadiens would have to pay.

In short, we’ve had two more very intriguing statements.

Frank Seravalli and Pierre LeBrun say the same thing: Kent Hughes and the Canadiens would do “whatever it takes” to acquire Sidney Crosby

Now that’s interesting.

You can interpret it as you wish, but here’s what Seravalli said:

Frank Seravalli: “There is zero doubt.. the Montreal Canadiens would do anything to get their hands on Sidney Crosby; but.. the Penguins are in a spot where they’re not gonna approach their captain, it’s gonna be up to Crosby

– Bleacher Report

As for Pierre LeBrun, he essentially said the same thing, stating that “the Montreal Canadiens’ management would move heaven and earth to pull off a trade for Sidney Crosby.”

So, what exactly are Kent Hughes and the Canadiens prepared to do to acquire Sidney Crosby? Everything – or almost!

This will definitely be a fascinating story to follow if the Pittsburgh Penguins end up having another miserable season, which honestly looks like the most realistic scenario anyway!
