Not only has MasterChef Australia produced some incredible chefs since debuting in 2009, but it has also created plenty of beautiful friendships. The wholesome reality show often features contestants assisting one another during challenges, cheering their competitors on, and tearing up when someone else gets eliminated.

One of the closest relationships formed on the show, however, appears to be between judges Poh Ling Yeow and Sofia Levin. From sneaking into the pantry to try eating burrata like an apple, to doing the ‘chubby bunny’ marshmallow challenge, the pair are frequently making each other laugh in between tasting the contestants’ dishes.

In addition to having fun during filming, MasterChef’s official Instagram account has posted several videos of the besties spending time together behind the scenes.

One recent video shows Poh and Sofia walking arm-in-arm, sharing a sandwich, and putting on lipstick in tandem alongside the caption: “Just because you’re judges doesn’t mean you have to do everything together”

Many viewers have taken to social media throughout the season to praise the duo, affectionately known as ‘Pohfia’, and even demand that they have their own show together.

“I desperately want Poh and Sofia to have their own show, they have great chemistry,” one person wrote, while another added, “Pls we need a series! It’s what the people want”.

“Together, they make me laugh at least once per episode… They need to add more of their short sketches. So fun!” a third said, followed by someone else who shared, “Love this duo! They instantly brighten up my day!”.

“Love watching these two! Especially showing them pinching food while the contestants are cooking,” a different user replied, with another commenting, “I love the judges having fun with each other while the contestants are cooking, especially Poh and Sofia”.

Poh and Sofia joined the MasterChef Australia judging panel last season alongside French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli and longtime judge Andy Allen. Poh famously came second on the show’s inaugural season, while Sofia is a food journalist, critic and travel writer.

The lineup marks the first time there have been two female judges on MasterChef, as well as the first time there have been four people on the judging panel.
