The Montreal Canadiens’ 2025 rookie camp has just resumed live from Brossard, and we’ve got some footage for you.

Once again, Ivan Demidov is impressing everyone..

We also got to see a good, long discussion between Pascal Vincent and David Reinbacher..

And we also have our first injury to report.

Quietly, considering that young Hayden Paupanekis has fallen ill, as we reported yesterday.

We can see that the Canadiens’ lineup for rookie camp is starting to get pretty thin, as the organization has just announced an injury on defense.

The Montreal Canadiens Announce an Injury for Defenseman Bryce Pickford

It’s a lower-body injury, apparently suffered yesterday by the young defenseman.

“Defenseman Bryce Pickford (lower body) will not participate in today’s practice.”

This must be really disappointing for young Pickford!

Bryce Pickford, 19, is a right-shot defenseman standing 6 feet and weighing 183 pounds.

He tallied 47 points in 48 games last season with the Medicine Hat Tigers, including 20 goals, and he was a third-round pick (81st overall) of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2025 draft.

In the behind-the-scenes documentary of the 2025 draft published by the Canadiens in recent hours, it’s clear just how much the Montreal brass (led by Nick Bobrov) were big fans of young Pickford.

We can’t wait to see him in action and at full health, especially since he’s a right-handed shot.
