We have two situations to monitor for the Montreal Canadiens just before the start of the playoffs.

Alright, I’m including Kaiden Guhle in this, even though he seemed clearly functional, even late in the game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

That said, the defenseman did temporarily head to the locker room, which caused concern for more than a few people.

But it’s Brendan Gallagher who will need to be watched more closely.

His presence (or absence) in practices over the next few days should tell us a lot, but Gallagher genuinely seemed to get injured against the Carolina Hurricanes.

He found a way to come back into the game-because he’s Brendan Gallagher-but let’s really hope it’s nothing too serious.. once the adrenaline wears off.

Brendan Gallagher’s health status will be something to watch in the coming days

It happened during the following sequence:

He left the game for a while, but he did manage to finish it.

So these are the two potentially banged-up players to keep an eye on before the first-round series against the Washington Capitals begins.

At the moment, there’s absolutely no need for concern.

It’s just something to monitor.

On a more positive note, Gallagher’s linemate Josh Anderson, who has been dealing with a lingering injury for a while, recently shared that he’s feeling much better and is nearly back to 100%.

That’s fantastic news, especially since Anderson is exactly the kind of player who thrives in the playoffs.

More details to come.
