The 22nd season of Dancing With The Stars is set to premiere next week with 12 popular Australian celebrities hitting the dance floor in their best sequins, ruffles and feathers. This year’s cast features a variety of well-known TV presenters, actors, newscasters and sports stars competing for a charity of their choice, as well as the chance to win the iconic Mirror Ball Trophy.

Ahead of the show’s highly anticipated return, the contestants’ surprising salaries have leaked online. An insider has revealed to Woman’s Day that the 2025 cast has been split into three different pay brackets based on their level of star power, legacy, network loyalty, and public appeal.

Actress Rebecca Gibney, TV host Osher Günsberg, and comedian Shaun Micallef are reportedly the highest-paid contestants this year, each earning $100,000 for their appearance on the Channel 7 reality show. All three have extensive experience in the TV industry and have been nominated for the Gold Logie at least once in their career, with Rebecca winning the prestigious award in 2009.

Meanwhile, Olympic legend Susie O’Neill, AFL star Trent Cotchin, and 7NEWS presenter Michael Usher are reportedly in the middle tier, receiving $47,000.

Rounding out the cast are radio host Brittany Hockley, social media personality Mia Fevola, Olympic boxer Harry Garside, comedian Felicity Ward, Home and Away star Kyle Shilling, and 7NEWS presenter Karina Carvalho, who are all said to be pocketing $27,000.

This year’s salaries are a stark contrast to the pay cheques received by the 2023 contestants, who were all reported paid the exact same amount.

Woman’s Day reported at the time that the 14 stars, including Paulini, Matt Preston, Laura Byrne and Emily Weir, all received “just under $50,000” for their appearance in the competition.

The new season of Dancing With The Stars will premiere on Sunday, June 15, with Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brown returning as hosts.

Sharna Burgess, Craig Revel Horwood, Mark Wilson and Helen Richey will also be sitting on the judges’ panel once again after working together last season.
